About

Justyna Koziczak is a painter and ceramics maker from Wroclaw, Poland. After completing her Master’s degree in conservation of ceramics and glass, she moved to London, UK, where she worked as the manager of a pottery studio, but also painting and exhibiting her works there.

After a few years, she returned to Poland, where she devoted herself fully to painting. Her works are dreamlike compositions where not all that is gloomy and sinister must be bad, not all that is beautiful and fine must be good. Justyna focuses in her works on showing emotions in a form of symbolical and surreal scenes. Often being inspired by literature or poetry, she  creates detailed compositions such as fantastical landscapes or portraits.

A frequent topic of Justyna’s works is the confrontation of a human being with strange, mysterious creatures, which represent fears and challenges modern society needs to confront. In her paintings, she attempts to tell a story about all of us – people who struggle, lose and find hope and faith.

Her works have participated in exhibitions in London, Milan, Venice and at the World Art Fair in Dubai, as well as in many solo and group shows in Poland.  Justyna’s paintings can be found on the covers of several albums by rock and metal bands, mostly from the US.
